Tip: Google Maps does not function well in Korea. You must download Naver Map or Kakao Map for navigation during your trip. We found the Kakao Map App to be more user-friendly for English speakers.

Tip: Regardless of where you stay in Jeju, you must try a few famous regional dishes - fresh abalone caught by Haenyeo (female divers), Black Pork, and Galchi (갈치 OR hairtail fish). These items are found nearly everywhere, so ask around for some of the best places to try them.

Do

  • Jeju Olle Trail

    • TIP: The Jeju Olle Trail has 21 numbered trail segments connected to circumnavigate the island. Selecting a few segments to hike makes the trail more manageable for a shorter trip. We suggest:

  • Beaches

    • Jeju is full of great beaches. A few standouts include:

      • Hyeopjae Beach (Great sunsets!)

      • Geumneung Beach

      • Gwakji Beach

  • Ferry to Udo Island

    • Tip: Udo is a small island—you won’t need more than a day trip. Bike rentals are an easy way to explore.

  • Osulloc Tea Museum

Tip: To get around Jeju efficiently, you will need to rent a car. Make sure you have an International Driving Permit (IDP). Also, watch your speed, as limits are strictly enforced.
